"Original World War II German Army cold weather reversible ""sniper"" face mask in the ""Splittermuster"" (""splinter-pattern"") camouflage pattern. Item was made from Zeltbahn material with three cotton twill face ties & 10 grommets over the mouth for breathing. These were actually more likely to be worn by machine gun crews than snipers & are infamously associated with the Dirlewanger ""Black Hunters"" anti-partisan brigade that operated in Belarus & Poland.
