WEYERSBERG” for the famous German sword maker who made swords for export and sale to American retail outfitters including the famous Hartley and Graham of New York City. Etching includes martial motifs of “DRUMS W/CANNONS” and “SHIELDS W/CANNONS” as well as ornate floral scrolls and panels. Ornate Cavalry Officer’s gilded brass hilt with leather grip wrap and braided gilded brass wire. Steel scabbard with Officer’s brass rings and mounts. Excellent to excellent plus overall with nearly all the original blade polish and much of the original gold gilt on hilt. Very superior condition overall.
