Description:
This custom Mauser rifle is a bit odd, it has all of the hallmarks of a Griffin & Howe rifle, but the barrel is marked Brooklyn Sporting Goods. This rifle was either made by Griffin & Howe to be sold through Brooklyn Sporting Goods, or someone decided to have a Griffin & Howe rifle rebarreled by Brooklyn Sporting Goods. In either circumstance, the craftsmanship behind this rifle is excellent. Overall condition is very good, with only light wear and a few light spots of corrosion on the outside of the barrel. the stock is without obvious flaws and the bottom metal appears to be Fuger engraved, as well as the trapdoor buttplate and grip cap. The Leupold optic appears to be a more recent addition, at which point the peep sight was removed and the bolt handle was re sculpted to match.
