JM Marlin , Model 1894S , 44-40 . Limited run with less than 1,000 made. All Serial numbers were prefaced by 4440 and then numbered in order of prodution. This rifle's Serial number is # 4440696 and makes this rifle #696 out of less than 1000. Overall condition is Very Good wood . Bore is clean and crisp with Ballard rifling . Overall in excellent condition. Very scarce.
Metal shows no dings, scratches or any corrosion. Wood has some very small flaws , just on the surface finish, not gouges down into wood.
