Description: This Model of 1917 dates to 1918. The barrel is dated "10 - 18." The metal is in great shape with only a little wear showing. The stock looks really good, but it may have been refinished as the cartouches are a bit faint. The Model of 1917 is a variation of the Enfield P13. The US was already making P13s for the British Army, and when the US entered WWI, it found itself short of rifles so rather than retool factories for the 1903, they made a .30-06 version of the P13. Excellent rifles and still in use in Arctic climes like Greenland where cold stops a lot of other guns. .30-06 Springfield Price: $1,499.99 Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: 5 rounds Metal Condition: Very good. There is a little blue wear but in great shape with clear stamps. Wood Condition: "Good. No visible defeats, but it may have been sanded as the cartouches, while discernable, aren't very legible. Bore Condition: "A little rough, but usable with good rifling. Barrels: 24 inches Triggers: Factory trigger. Stock Dimensions: LOP: 13-3/8 inches.
