Synopsis:

Wonderful, no-excuse Japanese Type 94 pistol made December 1942, salt blued finish with strawed small parts, two factory-matching magazines and pigskin holster with shoulder strap. A great as-issued rig that would be difficult to improve upon!

Description:

Standard configuration Japanese Type 94 pistol, cal. 8mm Nambu, SN: 33271 with two factory matching magazines and pigskin holster with shoulder strap. Fixed front sight and integral notched rear sight. Left side of frame with Japanese characters to include safety markings. Right side dated "17.12" (December 1942) with serial number "33271". Black checkered grips and two factory-matching magazines, each marked "271", the spare magazine dotted above the SN. Complete with pigskin leather military holster, dated 18.5 inside flap, and shoulder strap. The Type 94 was designed for Japanese tank and aircraft crews who preferred its smaller, lightweight design and was produced under the supervision of the Nagoya Army Arsenal at the Chuo Kogyo Company.

Condition:

EXC original salt blue finish with just the most minute sharp edge wear at muzzle, no thinning of either the front or back strap. Comparable condition original straw remaining on the trigger, safety lever and associated screws. Crisp grips with sharp checkering, virtually no handling marks, their screws retaining much of their original fire blue. Magazines with only minimal insertional wear. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. VG+ holster and strap with supple leather, staining as imaged, intact stitching showing no repairs.
