Attractive, original condition Ithaca Model 1911A1 U.S. Military WWII Pistol assembled in 1943, parkerized slide and frame with blued small parts, near mirror bore and correct magazine. A wonderful addition to any collection of WWII military pistols.

Description:

Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1943, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address. The model designation, SN, and U.S. ARMY / property markings are on the right side of the frame. Ordnance wheel on right side of frame breaks through the parkerizing as do the “P” on top of the slide, the "P" on the left frame below the magazine release, and the “FJA” inspection mark. The barrel lug is marked with an ‘HS’ (High Standard) and ‘P’, as is correct for an original assembled pistol. Fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, narrow checkered hammer, and short grip safety. Checkered Keyes Fiber grips with screw head reinforcements. Correct blued magazine marked with an ‘L’ on the toe. Complete with later production, high quality reproduction box, no tape marks, with oilskin paper, serial numbered to pistol.

Near EXC original condition Ithaca Model 1911A1 U.S. military pistol, parkerized with sharp edge / holster wear / thinning of frontstrap and arched mainspring housing as befitting a pistol that was in service for nearly two years. Comparable condition blued small parts and grips. VG magazine with insertional wear as imaged. Near mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Near EXC reproduction box, carefully aged to match pistol.
