Made in 1967 this gun is considered to be a SxS shotgun specifically styled for the USA market. Configured with many special order options that were very popular on shotguns in American during the 1960's/1970's: Vent Rib with Mid Bead Beavertail forearm Single Trigger Pistol Grip Chokes of Cylinder/Improved Cylinder Gold plate lockworks Gold inlayed initials on the stock "AGM" Non-automatic Safety These guns were known as "Caliifornia" or "Texas" Purdeys! Those above options are in addition to best quality Purdey features of Self-Opening and Checkered Butt 28" barrels, 2 3/4" chambers, .729" bores The beautiful French Walnut stock has a 14 1/2" length of pull, 1 3/8" drop at comb and 2" drop at heel with 3/8" of cast favouring a right hand shooter. Purdey factory motor case, ordered with the gun. Weighs 7 lbs. 7 1/4 oz. Condition is extraordinary especially in light of the fact that this gun is 59 years old!!
