Built in Finland and bearing serial number 927291, this rifle features a 24" barrel, controlled push-feed bolt action, and a 4+1 capacity via detachable 4-round magazine—a practical advantage in the field. Weighing 8 lb 3.4 oz bare and 9 lb 8.1 oz with optic, it carries the proper mass to manage recoil while maintaining excellent balance. Express iron sights include a standing island rear sight with ramped and banded front, providing immediate backup capability. Mounted atop is a premium Schmidt & Bender 1.5–6x42 first focal plane scope with German #4 reticle, one of the finest dangerous-game optics available, offering rapid acquisition at low power with precise hold capability when needed. The scope is mounted with German style claw mounts and can be quickly detached for open sight use!
Condition is excellent overall, showing only faint handling wear. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, the action cycles smoothly, and the trigger breaks cleanly. The barrel and receiver retain nearly all original blued finish. The rifle is stocked in deluxe walnut with striking scalloped grain, sharp checkering, a right-hand palm swell, and a Monte Carlo cheekpiece. Two steel crossbolts reinforce the stock for strength under heavy recoil, and an orange recoil pad completes the build. Sling swivels are properly fitted front and rear. Chambered in the time-proven .375 H&H, this Sako 75 is a refined yet formidable safari rifle—fully equipped and ready for Africa.
