This is an excellent example of an Ithaca Model 1911A1 issued to the U.S. Military in 1945. It has the proper proofs, "FJA" inspector initials, "United States Property" marked-"M1911 A1 U.S.ARMY." Has a correct and very good condition "HS" marked High Standard Barrel. The rifling is bright and shiny. No pitting. The pistol has retained about 98% of its original finish. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a proper WWII “L" marked magazine. If you need an Ithica for your collection or just want a great example of the famed M1911A1, then this fits the bill. A hard pistol to upgrade and a welcome addition to any collection.
