33078- CIVIL WAR ERA C. J. SINTON & CO., RICHMOND, VIRGINIA 16 GA. PERCUSSION SIDE X SIDE HAMMER DAMASCUS SHOTGUN CA. 1860’S. 30” barrels with double silver bands at breech and engraved on rib “C. J. SINTON & CO. RICHMOND VA.”. Engraved locks signed “C. J. SINTON & CO.” as well. Sinton is listed at 1435 Main Street as a hardware store and importer of hardware and tools as well as this shotgun which has Birmingham proofs on underside of barrels. Half-length walnut stock with brass patchbox on butt . Engraved hammers and engraved steel mounts. Nice original brown patina on metal and the original finish on stock. Locks in working order and excellent nipples. Desirable Confederate era shotgun. $950.
