32982- W.W. GREENER FAR KILLER 12 GA HAMMER 2 ½” 2.5” SIDE X SIDE SHOTGUN CIRCA 1881-82. Serial number "237XX" and all matching. It sports 30” barrels that have not been refinished and a 14.25” LOP over original horn butt in fantastic original condition. Weighs 7.5 lbs. Original untouched receiver with crisp engraving and traces of original case colors in recesses and on hammers. Very small salt and pepper pitting on trigger guard with a minor ding or two from normal use. Traces of original brown on top of crisp solid rib and visible Haymarket, London address. “Far Killing Duck Gun” crisply engraved on top lever. Rebounding hammers are original with no play and excellent screws. Tight on face. Excellent bores with only the slightest small pits just forward of forcing cone in the left barrel. Choked Skeet and Improved Modified. Original wood forend orend covered in lacquer and has been crudely repaired a long time ago with split going down middle, usable and restorable if need be. Perfect inletting like day it was made. Checking still crisp. Unengraved German silver escutcheon plate. Slight right hand cast with very little drop. Make a nice candidate for shooting low pressure loads or to put a tube set in for small gauge action. $1,750
