Payment Types Accepted: Certified Bank Check, Money Orders Description: Thompson/Center Contender Steve Herrett Commemorative – 1981 – One of 500 – .30 Herrett – 10" Bull Barrel – Unfired – Cased Offered for sale is a rare and highly collectible Thompson/Center Contender Steve Herrett Commemorative, produced in 1981 to honor Steve Herrett, recipient of the Outstanding American Handgunner Award. This factory commemorative was limited to only 500 examples and is built on the legendary T/C Contender single-shot break-action platform. This example is fitted with the correct .30 Herrett 10-inch bull barrel, as marked and shown in the photos.  Important provenance note: I am the original owner of this pistol. It was purchased new when these were originally released, placed directly into a safe, and has never been fired. The condition reflects careful long-term storage, not use. The pistol features factory engraving throughout, including a portrait of Steve Herrett on the frame, decorative scroll engraving, and “One of Five Hundred” engraved on the barrel. It is fitted with beautifully figured Herrett-style walnut grips, signed “Steve Herrett.” This example is housed in its original factory presentation case, complete with the award insert referencing .30 Herrett and .357 Herrett, along with the display cartridges as shown. Finish, grips, and metal surfaces remain exceptional, with no evidence of firing wear. The bore is pristine, lockup is tight, and the pistol functions exactly as it should. This is an unfired, original-owner example of a scarce Thompson/Center commemorative with strong appeal to T/C collectors, single-shot handgun enthusiasts, and Steve Herrett memorabilia collectors.
