Description:
Scarce rifle, metal in high condition, excl bore, in a very neat caliber where mild recoil and minimal report are desirable. Stock finish is showing signs of age, cracking up in places, but wood is sound. Early version, the sights are original, 2 holes factory d&t on top of the rear bridge for an optional aperture sight never fitted, factory plug screws intact. (Takes a Lyman 48Y or the simpler Savage peep .. we also supply a 3/8" dovetail kit that utilizes the factory tapped holes). Steel OEM buttplate. This would be the ticket on woodchucks, badgers, foxes, coyotes, javelina, and small deer.
