Description:
This example is fitted with a cap badge which is the "Prince Consort's Own" in the post 1937 form. The badge is in good readable condition. A brass general service button is fitted to each side and these hold an original brown colored leather chin strap across the peak of the cap. The interior is lined with black oilskin as is common to find with this pattern of cap and the underside of the peak is dark green. The interior of the cap is stamped "P over WD over 436" also has a tag of "1948", the P in the stamp is normal associated with the production year 1941. Condition of the cap is good with several worn areas in the wool. Please see photo's for fine detail.;
