"NSN. Manufactured circa the early 1900s by Koishikawa Arsenal, chambered in 8x52R,29"" round barrel. The rifle is in excellent condition with a bright, shiny bore and strong, well-defined rifling visible throughout. The left side of the receiver bears the Koishikawa Arsenal (Tokyo) marking. Siam relied heavily on Japan for arms production in the early 20th century, contracting approximately 40,000 of these rifles, many of which did not survive the upheaval and attrition of WWII. The stock shows minimal handling and service wear, retaining a very clean overall appearance. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly. This is an exceptional example, seldom encountered in this level of preservation, and would fit very nicely into any serious WWII or Asian-contract military rifle collection.
