Description:
This is an interesting Mauser 98k Rifle Bayonet with a re-worked scabbard and frog. First this fits perfect on a period Mauser 98k Rifle. The near excellent condition, 10 7/8" unsharpened bright blade appears to have been longer and worked to a new shorter blade with a full large fuller that goes through the tip with a 3 1/2" false edge on top. The ricasso is unmarked, as well as the guard. The handles are in excellent condition with just normal wear. The pommel is bright with the only markings on the end "24224". The scabbard appears original with the frog stud removed, a screw is used to attach to afrog with leather clasp. There is printing on the back that I can not make out. This is an excellent variation on the famous Mauser 98k Rifle Bayonet.;
