Description:
This tower enfield is much scarcer than the three band model. It was definitely used in the civil war with the 25. 25 stamping and no British proofs. The wood has basically nice wood even though it was repaired in the lock area. The .577 bore has shallow rifling and is visible with some pitting. Mechanics are fine and metal has been re-blued which can be easily removed. Again a scarce Tower.
The ramrod is not threaded and probably replaced. The rear sight is replaced with an 1855 US Military type.
