Description:
SCARCE m1863 Starr SA .44 Army, 6 shot, #26xxx matching on three visible numbers. The exterior is smooth gray with clear markings and 2 visible cartouches with wear on bottom edge of one cartouche. The action is crisp and locks up tight. The bore show wear in rifling and fine surface residue and a couple of patches of shallow pits. Bottomof grip has two XX, Possibly kill notches. These were the third most used gun of the Civil War and with the solid top strap an accurate weapon. Very good exterior, good bore.
