Description:
1944 Rock-Ola M1 Carbine

This is an Arlington Ordinance Korean arsenal import from the late 80's / early 90's era, and is exactly as it was when originally purchased.  The weapon has not been fired since it was imported, reconditioned, and then sold by Arlington Ordinance approximately 35 years ago.  As is the case with all Arlington & Blue Sky imports, the carbine was arsenal rebuilt using various manufacturer's parts.  I am not an M1 Carbine expert or collector, so I may have missed something, but I have made an effort to accurately identify each of the major components.

The metal and wood finishes are in good condition, with visible rifling in the bore.  I recently disassembled and cleaned the action, and the mechanical operation is smooth, with everything working as it should. Apparently the Arlington refurbishing process included a degree of stock sanding, because there are no stock identification marks or cartouches remaining, only a faint armory number "338" is visible on the heel of the handgrip.
