The rifle was manufactured in Münnerstadt, Germany, by Friedrich Wilhelm Heym. "Krupp Special" or "Krupp Steel" refers to the high-strength barrel steel used in many premium German rifles of that period. Heym often highlighted the use of this high-quality steel, sometimes forged in-house at Heym to ensure maximum precision and performance.
