Description: This is an L. C. Smith Field Grade Featherweight shotgun chambered in 20 gauge with 28" barrels. The shotgun is in about Very Good condition with its original finish remaining and nice bores. The barrels are 28" with a full length finely serrated solid rib down the center and a bead front sight. The top of the right barrel is marked "<--L.C. SMITH Field GRADE-->", the top of the left barrel is marked "HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. M'F'R'S FULTON, N.Y., U.S.A." The bottom of each barrel is marked "ARMOR STEEL". Each side of the barrel flat has a proof mark, the left barrel flat is marked "145177 / FIELD". The barrels don't show any choke markings, but do measure "MOD" on the left and "IMP MOD on the right. The barrels are also fitted with extractors. The inside of the forend iron is marked "145177". Each case colored side plate is marked with "L.C. SMITH". This also has an auto safety. The right of the water table is marked "FW 145177 / FIELD". The stock set is a two-piece checkered walnut with a splinter forend, capped pistol grip, straight comb and serrated black hard rubber buttplate.
