Uberti has a high reputation for producing reproduction rifles that are as good or better than the originals. This one could stand as a fine rifle in its own right. The Winchester '73 is the true rifle that won the West. The '94 got in the movies, but historically speaking, the West was pretty tamed by 1894. The '73 offered a lot of firepower, in a small package, when the prevailing weapons of the frontier were single shot muzzle loaders and falling block type cartridge guns.
