Description:
This is a 54 caliber smooth bore original Flintlock pistol with the early S. North downward curve lock. The Model 1816 was made from 1817-1820. The hickory ramrod has a threaded tip for cleaning and ball removal. The left breech side is marked P above US. On the left wood flat there is a nice LS cartouche for Luther Sage. The lock plate was case hardened and all other iron parts were finished brown. The mechanical function is very good and tight.
