1860 GALLAGER PATENT CIVIL WAR SADDLE RING CARBINE WITH 5 LOADABLE CARTRIDGES & LEAD BALLS. OVERALL IN VERY GOOD CONDITION FOR WHAT LOOKS TO BE A CONFEDERATE CAPTURED ? CARBINE. LEFT SIDE OF FRAME IS PUNCH MARKED "C.S.A." APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN DONE DURING PERIOD OF USE AND A  "Z" STAMPED REAR OF THE LOWER TANG. THE BORE HAS STRONG RIFLING WITH MINOR FROSTING IN THE GROOVES. A VERY INTERESTING CARBINE AS PICTURED & FOUND IN A FLORIDA COLLECTION.
