Description:
Offered for sale is an authentic mid-19th century Belgian percussion sporting gun, manufactured in Liège and bearing clear proof marks including the crowned “ELG” in oval, confirming inspection by the Liège proof house.
This is a classic example of a “guild-made” firearm, produced by skilled craftsmen in Belgium during the 1800s. The gun features a long barrel, walnut stock, and double set triggers—an uncommon and desirable feature even on smoothbore sporting arms.
