This Colt Python .357 Magnum, serial number T84564, is an extraordinary find—an original factory-blued 6-inch model featuring a rare unfluted cylinder, making it truly one of a kind. Built by Colt and verified through their official serial number lookup as a 1990 production, this revolver represents a unique piece of Python history with uncommon characteristics seldom seen in the marketplace.
Originally sent by Colt to the representative group Tim Bailey and Associates, this example was likely used to generate special interest in the uncommon unfluted-cylinder configuration. It was later purchased directly from Tim Bailey by an employee and is now being offered on consignment.
This exceptional revolver remains unfired, accompanied by its original box and factory paperwork. The blued finish is excellent with deep, mirror-like polish showcasing Colt’s legendary craftsmanship. The original walnut target grips show minor surface marks visible in the photos, while the box is in good condition with some outer sleeve wear consistent with careful long-term storage. Importantly, the box label’s serial number matches perfectly to the frame and cylinder yoke.
