Tokarev. (SOLD) Model M40 SVT Soviet Rifle. Cal. 7.62x54R. 24" barrel with integral flash hider. 2 piece Birch stocks with slotted sheet metal hand guard. Blue finish over all with traditional red lacquer finish on stocks. 10 Round detachable magazine. These rifles were used extensively on the Russian/Soviet front throughout WW2 and were known as Stalin's Garand. Receiver is dated 1942. Condition is very fine. Blue finish has light thinning at high points of sights and edges of butt plate and muzzle. Bore is very fine with strong rifling . Serial # A5419.
