Description:
Serial #128660, .38 S&W, 3 ¼ inch round ribbed barrel with a very good bore with scattered spots of roughness and strong rifling. This is the Smith & Wesson .38 Safety Hammerless 4th Model revolver manufactured circa 1898-1907. The nickel surfaces retain about 80-85% of the original finish which has cloudy patches on the frame and barrel with flaking on the cylinder. The trigger shows slightly muted case-colors and the guard and latch show much of the original blue finish. The pearl stocks fit very well with some tiny chips on the right one. The action functions properly with tight lock up. A very good looking example of these rugged 4th models that would be great to shoot. FFL or C&R
