Description: General Specs: Perazzi, 1972, 12 Gauge, 6lbs. 10oz., Chokes IC/M, LOP 14 3/8", DAH 2 5/16", DAC 1 9/16" Serial Number: 39141 During the 1970’s Ithaca imported the Perazzi over/under. It is the Mirage model, which is essentially the same gun as the MX8 designation today with the dropout trigger group and interchangeable parts. The “LIGHTWEIGHT GAME GUN” version is rarely encountered and the lightest 12ga. over/under I have seen at 6lbs. 11oz. and balanced delightfully in hand, much like a fine English side by side. A custom gun created by Paul Jaeger, Inc. including the wood and the engraving, it is a stunning work of art. The engraving is deep relief and executed by world class artist Claus Willig. Google Willig’s name and you will find he is one of the best. This particular Perazzi, sn39141 is displayed in the Gun Digest’s “Book of Custom Guns” and is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Study the engraving in the photos and you will be amazed! There are few artists on the planet that could execute such work, and the cost would be more than we are asking for the gun! Mechanically excellent in every way, this is an investment grade shotgun that will appreciate in value as you enjoy its use. We provide the most comprehensive photography and specifications in the marketplace to guide you in making an informed choice.
