Description:
Well marked on the top flat of the barrel FH CLARK MEMPHIS. Gun retains a pleasing patina overall with some light pitting on the steel parts. Wood is solid. German silver mounted, although the barrel retention escutcheon on the right side appears to be a silver replacement. The rear lock screw looks like a replacement. .44 caliber. Percussion. Lock is in good working order. 2 3/4 inch barrel. Roughly 6 1/2 inches long overall. Hard little gun to find that very well could have been in the pocket of a Tennessee Confederate soldier as he went off to war.
