Description:

Standard configuration FN HP pistol with internal extractor and thumbprint slide, manufactured circa 1950s, cal. 9mmP, SN: 33980, with 4.6-inch barrel, fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE HERSTAL BELGIQUE" with "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". Usual Belgian proofs on the left side of the slide, left side of the frame and exposed barrel hood, the latter additionally marked with the caliber 9mmP. Full serial number on the right side of the slide and frame, internally marked on the left side of the barrel hood. Checkered wooden grips with smooth recessed border. Two matching magazines with aluminum follower, blued body marked with a boxed "2" and black painted button-retained floorplates, each electro-penciled with matching serial number "33980" on the spine. Complete with "Geco" marked black leather holster having the serial number "33980" stamped into the back surface and handwritten ownership notation inside lid. The pistol represents the original P-35 design introduced in 1935, which became one of the most widely used military pistols in history, having been adopted by the armed forces of over 50 countries. VG-EXC, bright original finish with holster wear in usual locations to include muzzle, top of slide forward of rear sight, and slight thinning of the straps with fading at bottom of butt where in contact with lid. Comparable condition grips and magazines with moderate insertional wear. Mirror bore. Correct manual mechanics. Holster with intact pull-up strap, supple leather, moderate scuffing, and intact stitching, the rear belt loop with supplemented suturing.
