When Colt introduced their famed Single-Action Army revolver in 1955, it was identical in appearance to the pre-war model - with the exception of the SA suffix of the serial number. This revolver immediately attracted the attention of collectors and, in the last few years, has become almost as important in the collection field as its pre-war predecessor. It has been over twenty years since the first book was published on Colt's post-war revolver and in the intervening period, interest has changed from general collecting to a new emphasis on specific models and variations.
