This is a BEAUTIFUL Astra 900 Ca; 7.62 Mauser (Same as Broomhandle Pistols).
This is one of the A 900 pistol sold to Germany in 1943 It is listed in the Antaris Book; Page 142. By serial number!
The barrel is 5.5 inches long with a used very good bore.
It has a strong action, completely functional in every way.
The finish is Military heavy Rust Blue, with some minor wear. White metal parts are slight darkened from age, no rust no defects. The Lanyard Ring is not present, as usual!
The grips are Spanish Walnut---The original factory grips, in equally nice condition.
It has a "LL" Proof Date, Circa 1933-36. Apparently the guns were manufactured and proofed later. These were in stock at Astra when Germans purchased them in 1943. The Germans bought 1,050 of this Model. (900)
The fit and finish on these pistols was among the finest in the world, making this Astra 900 a very desireable handgun.
