Fine bores, show some light erosion. 2 5/8" chambers…Precise lock works and triggers as one would expect in a fine gun…14" length of pull, with stock drops of 2 and 3 inches. Weighs just seven pounds…Overall, very fine condition…Due to its three digit serial number, this fine gun could have been made for Charles Daly by The Lefever Arm Co. of Syracuse, NY…If so, making it one of the earliest American made cartridge guns…utilizing modern features…No stamps or other clues indicating maker are in evidence…

Another possibility is that this fine gun 'was made by George Linder, in Prussia, prior to 1891…
