Description:
At .45 cal, with a 32” octagon barrel with a bright seemingly very good bore showing mild fouling and strong rifling throughout. The barrel retains about 90% brown finish. The lockplate with swan-neck cock and bridled frizzen shows mild embellishment and colot case hardening coloring. The walnut stock rates very good overall, showing light handling wear with all the brass furniture showing mild tarnish; some of the fitting show nice floral motifs, and the lockplate is quite nicely executed and flanked by pleasant foliate stock carvings. The nosecap is rendered in German silver and it is sighted with a V-notch rear and brass blade front sight, and the lockwork appears to function well overall, the hammer holding strong at both positions with a functional half-cock safety; the touchhole appears to be obstructed by oxidation and a cupped-head hardwood ramrod is includedOversll would mskr a agreat upland shooter.
