Description:
"Serial no. 203q. Manufactured in 1943, chambered in 8mm,24"" round barrel. The bore is good with frosting noted in the grooves while the rifling remains strong and well-defined. Serial numbers are non-matching, with the floorplate marked “byf," indicating mixed wartime components. The metal finish has turned to a dull brown/grey patina consistent with field use and age, and the left side of the barrel is import marked. The “bnz" code denotes production by Steyr-Daimler-Puch during WWII. The stock shows handling and service impressions, with a five-pointed star carved into the right side. Similar carved markings are occasionally observed on captured German rifles used by partisan forces, adding a layer of historical character to the piece. The action is smooth, mechanically sound, and functions correctly.
