Pre-1940 Browning Superposed shotguns, produced between 1931 and 1940 (pre-WWII), are the initial, highly regarded over/under models designed by John Browning and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Belgium. These early, hand-fitted, 12-gauge-only guns often featured double triggers, solid ribs, and superior walnut wood, establishing the foundation for the renowned B25, according to.
