The L4S gas operating system acts as a shock absorber to mitigate recoil against the shoulder. The new detachable rib is raised above the action and the stock is also higher to match the rib. This allows the shooter to stand in a more upright and comfortable stance. The new rib is machined from aluminum to reduce the weight at the muzzle end, making the Elevate easier to handle. Each gun comes with two interchangeable ribs, a flat shooting Sporting rib and a higher shooting Trap rib at 65/35 point of impact.
