Serial Number AB 00520, 12 gauge. This piece showcases the work of master engraver Angelo Bee, an Italian-born, F.N./Browning-trained artisan who apprenticed in Herstal, Belgium under Felix Funken for 25 years before immigrating to the United States in 1975 under the sponsorship of Frank Pachmayr. Bee's specialty is gold inlay, and this receiver is a textbook example of his signature style. Engraving details: Full-coverage hand-cut floral scrollwork with punch-dot background on receiver, top lever, and trigger guard Gold-inlaid flying pheasant pair on both sides of the receiver, set against engraved grass and foliage Gold-inlaid pheasant on the underside (floorplate) Additional gold-inlaid pheasant on the top lever Engraver's signature "A.
