Nice half stock circa mid 1800's Kentucky/Pennsylvania half stock rifle approximately 40-42 caliber. Nice half stock tiger stripe half stock with a crack near the German silver nose cap and a great working brass patch box. The lock is marked PS&J Warranted Co. (a well known lock maker). The approximately 40-42 caliber rifled barrel is 38" and is marked S Wilder with front and rear sights. The bore sows good rifling but is dark and needs cleaning. The lock and barrel is a nice mellow brown color. The remaining parts are brass except I think a German silver nose cap. The set trigger clicks but the hammer does not hold and needs adjusting.
