1978 Colt Custom Shop SAA chambered in 45 LC with a 7.5 inch barrel and factory royal blue/color case finish. This revolver features factory C level 75% coverage hand engraving. Per the included Colt archive letter which confirms the configuration it was shipped to Boise, Idaho April 27, 1978 and it was processed and colt factory order number 10723. As you study the photos you will notice that the engraving on this one is a cut above what you will find on a standard level factory engraved Colt. You can make note of the heavy hashing inside of all of the scrolls not to mention the heavy punch dotting. This revolver is new in the factory custom shop case. As seen in the photos the finishes exceptional throughout with no real visible signs of handling. Overall the finish rates a very strong 99% +. The factory original black eagle grips are flat out exceptional with sharp checkers throughout. This is a very nice example of a beautiful and difficult to find single action.
