Description: The Marlin 1893 was the precursor to the Model 36/336. This one is a full rifle version with an octagonal 26-inch barrel. This is the "Special Smokeless Steel" variant, made for smokeless powder cal., .30-30 cartridges. Note: Marlin didn't label them .30-30 Win, ostensibly to avoid advertising for the competition. It is in Fair to Good condition, good blue on the barrel and some residual case color. The magazine has some blue left where it is protected by the barrel. The stock has been sanded and finished, and there is a repaired chip on the left side, right behind the receiver. The metal stands proud at most of the wood/metal joints.
