Dakota 76 .25-06 Remington. Serial 2860 has a 23-inch barrel (.565 muzzle diameter, light sporter contour). Features include a rust blue finish, full-length claw extractor, three-position safety and an integral bolt release lever. STOCK: Shaped as a proper mountain rifle from a AA-grade blank with stout directional figure, appointments include an ebony forend tip, wrap checkering, scalloped cheek rest with shadow line, steel grip cap, inletted sling swivel studs and a Dakota logo recoil pad. DIMENSIONS: Weight is 7.4 pounds and the length-of-pull is 13.6 inches. CONDITION: The bore is outstanding - strong and bright. Trigger pull is good and mechanics appear solid. Metal finish is at least 98 percent with but trace indications of handling. Wood is approximately 97 percent with a few minor impressions. ACCURACY: The consignor-supplied test target shows a three-shot group of .460-inch (three shots, 100 yards, Sierra 100-grain spitzer handloads). No box or papers.
