Description:
Serial #3200, .30 Rim Fire, 3 inch round barrel with a bright, excellent bore. This is a James Warner Pocket Revolver manufactured by James Warner in Springfield, Massachusetts circa late 1860's with a total quantity estimated at 1000. This example remains in fine condition with the barrel and cylinder showing about 45-50% of the original blue that has flaked and toned to brown leaving a very pleasing finish. It is well marked on the cylinder "WARNER'S PATENT 1857". The frame retains virtually all 90-95% of the original silver plate that has shows natural age patina with light handling marks. The top spring strap has bright, deep nitre blue and the walnut grips rate about excellent with minor handling marks with the hammer showing original muted case colors. The action functions properly with a tight lock up. A fine example of these rarely seen pocket revolvers. Antique
