Antique Iver Johnson 1st model Safety Top Break .32 S&W Revolver
Iver Johnson 1st Model 2nd variation small frame .32 S&W top break revolver, auto ejecting, nickel finish, single top barrel latch. a true gem from the late 19th century. This particular model, serial number 5421, was produced 1895.
Revolver is made for Black Powder cartridges only.
Asking $249. all reasonable offers considered. If you buy more than 1 firearm from me , I will discount each addition firearm at 15% off the listing price.
Condition: 3” raised rib barrel with a good bore showing very minor spot pitting from black powder use and still retains very good rifling. The metal of the revolver still retains most of its original nickel finish on the left side with only minor surface lose , scratches. The right side shows surface pin-prick probably from moisture and years of storage on that right side. The original owl monogramed black checkered hard rubber grips are in very good condition with only minor wear, and the top-strap markings remain crisp and legible.
Despite its age, this revolver is a nice working example and is in good mechanical condition in single and double action. Barrel to frame fit is very good. Revolver has good timing with just a little bit of cylinder play at lock-up. Please judge the condition from the photos.
It would make a nice addition to any antique firearm collection or for those who appreciate a classic piece of history and historically significant firearm from the late 19th century.
