We wish to help you improve your collection and make both parties happy. Description: This Eddystone M1917 receiver was manufactured in October 1918. This rifle features genuine Eddystone stock, bolt, rear sight, sling swivels, safety and front sight base. In fact, our inspection of this rifle has found all marked parts to be Eddystone. Because the rifle has been arsenal refurbished, we are unsure if any of the minor internal parts have been changed. Flaming bomb proofs can be located on the barrel near the muzzle, bolt handle, and receiver. The rifle's receiver has been parkerized. Because of the rifle's overall condition, we feel that it has not been reissued since its arsenal refurb. The bolt head and chamber are very clean. The barrel is a Johnson Automatics field replacement barrel. Using a CMP gauge, the barrel has a muzzle wear of 0+ and a throat wear of 3. The bore is bright and shiny. The rifle's stock is in excellent condition and presents well. It has a very low amount of handling impressions, and has no chips or gouges. The stock has an eagle cartouche in front of the floorplate. This M1917 will come with a cleaning kit and M1907 leather sling. Please see pictures for details. All used firearms should be inspected by a qualified gunsmith prior to firing. All items are sold as photographed unless other arrangements are made. Purchasers can request any long gun (up to 48 inches in length) purchase to be shipped in a hard case for an additional $30 fee. Buyer will be responsible for any additional charges above the $50 shipping fee that may occur with hard case shipping.
