Description:
Sportsterized Springfield Armory M2 .22LR Training Rifle by Pachmayr. Rifle was positively ID'ed on a private Miami gun range in the mid 80's, shortly after the current owner purchased it. Mr. William G. Baker Jr., who was Chairman of Pachmayr at that time, strode up up and asked the owner "How do you like my gun?". He introduced himself and they had a nice chat about this rifle and firearms in general. He gave him a card and told him to contact his assistant should he needed anything. Mr. Baker's card is included with the rifle. Aside from the cool story, this is an accurate and classy looking target rifle. Custom Pachmayr stock has beautiful wood figuring with a 13 1/2" LOP. Barrel has been shortened to 22". Vintager Redfield 2 3/4X scope. Naturally, it has a Pachmayr pad on it. Very nice finish overall. US marked receiver Serial #191823. Some normal light usage marks. Some light checking lines on the right side rear of the stock along grain lines. Has been like that since the owner purchased it. A really nice piece for any collection.
