Description:
WORLD WAR I Dated DWM Imperial German LUGER P.08 Pistol C&R SHOULDER STOCK

1914 “GREAT WAR” Dated SEMI-AUTO Military Sidearm

Here we present a C&R World War I Dated Imperial German DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Pistole Parabellum P.08 Military Luger Pistol with the shoulder stock included, made in 1914 in Berlin, Germany. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical and productive fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. There are many variations in this field of collecting, but relatively few major changes in overall design from beginning to end.

The Luger is certainly one of the most iconic firearms in history, made so by its association with being carried by German troops during both World Wars and is perhaps the most associated with those events. The top of the chamber is Great War dated “1914”. The top of the toggle is marked “DWM”. “6196k” while the barrel is numbered “6196a”. Barrel is marked “Bo32”

This pistol is a very nice example of an early-World War I German Luger manufactured by DWM in 1914. The right side of the barrel extension has the three “Crown/Script” German military proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof.

The overall condition is very good. Original finishes. Strong action. Markings are crisp. Both grips appear well-used and have been re-checkered. The shoulder stock is good with a thin crack and a missing tang screw. The holster is missing from the stock. Mostly bright bore with serviceable rifling. Filing marks on the magazine base. The frame is numbered “6196k” while the barrel is numbered “6196a”. Barrel is marked “Bo32”.
