From a local estate sale, a WWII Fighting Knife US 225Q Cattaraugus with correct issue Sheath and service medal (see photos). At the sale they said this knife was found in an old shed that was being torn down and was a US military issue fighting knife used in World War Two (see photos). The back of the leather sheath has Afirca and Anzio cut into the back of it. They had no additional information at the sale and I have no way to prove this knife saw service in Africa or at Anzio; however, it all looks old and original to my untrained eye and the knife appears to have lived unprotected in a outdoor shed for decades.
